This comprehensive guide provides educators with the resources needed to implement a Preceptor Development Program in your organization. A series of six workshops, each four hours or less, addresses the learning needs of both beginning and experienced nurse preceptors, learners and hospital staff supporting the learning experience. Once workshop focuses on development of "Preceptorship Pathways". This is a unit-specific took to assist in planning day-to-day learning for the preceptorship experience. All workshops are based on experiential learning model and are highly interactive. The package includes learning objectives, lesson plans, participant handouts and evaluation forms. These basic resources can be adapted to fit the specific education needs of preceptors in any health care setting.
